HISTORY

Originally founded in the 1950s as a marching band, we later evolved into a concert band and gave our first performance in the spring of 1975 at Memorial Hall in Melrose.The Middlesex Concert Band (MCB) is a nonprofit community band based in Wakefield, Massachusetts that strives to bring affordable entertainment to Wakefield and surrounding communities.

VOLUNTEER

With over 50 volunteer performers, the band plays traditional and contemporary wind ensemble music, marches, big band sounds, folk tunes and music from Broadway and Hollywood.

DIRECTOR

SEASON

From September to May, the Middlesex Concert Band presents a series of pops and holiday concerts. During the summer months, the band can be heard playing traditional outdoor concerts in town parks and commons throughout the region.
