In the 1930s & '40s, radio was our window to the world.
It brought us music and laughter, good news and bad. Travel
back with us now to a time when big band music ruled the airwaves,
when the pop stars of the day were names like Glenn Miller
and Tommy Dorsey, and when families gathered around the radio
to listen to their favorite shows.
Join
us as we recreate a Big Band radio show of the 1930s &
'40s with music from the Middlesex Concert Band. Featuring
guest soloists Jean Nigro and Rene Lewis Pfister, with announcer
Billy Garrison. Plus MCB Radio's "Five Minute Mystery"
- sound effects and all.
There will be room to dance, so...bring
your dancin' shoes and step out with us!
The
musical program will include:
