We're always looking for musicians
in almost every section. There is no audition required, however,
it is suggested that prospective members fill out this form
and give the music director the opportunity to speak with
them first.
Membership shall consist of
(A) full-time members (B) part-time members and (C) honorary
members, who shall be of good character and have a sincere
interest in music.
(A) Full-time Members—This
membership shall be based on the musical ability of the individual
and the instrumental needs of the organization, as determined
by the Musical Director, with the approval of the Board of
Directors. Full-time membership requires not more than 90
consecutive days away from band activities. Full-time members
may hold office, serve on committees, propose members and
vote on the affairs of the organization.
(B) Part-time Members—This
membership shall be based on the musical ability of the individual
and the instrumental needs of the organization, as determined
by the Musical Director, with the approval of the Board of
Directors. Part-time members shall not be required to participate
in band activities year-round, but are expected to conform
to the band’s rules and regulations while participating.
Part-time members may serve on committees and propose members,
but may not hold office or vote.
(C) Honorary Members—Honorary
life membership may be conferred on individuals in recognition
of their service to the organization, and enjoy all the privileges
of full-time membership except that of holding elective office
or voting.
